I bought this worklight for my antique auto work. The light it puts out is bright and at least equal to that of my old 100 watt incandescent, although the hue is more of a blue/white than the warmer light bulb. I like not having to route a power cord, although the light is taller than a traditional worklight.



The design is good - has a built-in hook, a sealed power switch, and after months of periodic use I've yet to need a single recharge.



The only thing that keeps this from being a perfect recommendation is the charger is a small power brick that plugs directly into the unit. I wish it had a "docking station" or docking hinge that would allow the charger to be positioned securely on my workbench. Then again, I'm sure that a charge base would add to the cost.

After a month of 40-hour-per-week use, it's down to between 5 and 10 minutes of battery life, before the red "low batt" LED comes on and it's time to recharge it.



Very bright, very durable, very well made. It just has double the lights of most cordless LED lights. And the battery is half the size. You do the math.



The Astro 6300, on the other hand, is nearly as bright, extremely tough, and lasts a week or more of daily use on a charge. That's what I'm using now, and I'm very satisfied.

When trying to remove my crank pulley, I first attempted to use a wrench the braces itself against the teeth on your flywheel, while you reef on the bolt holding your crank pulley. I broke the wrench. It was complete piece of garbage.



Then I bought this tool, and the bolt came out easily. You can use this to hold your crank still while you take the bolts out of your flywheel too. However, that took 2 guys for me, cause then your breaker bars have to be about 2 feet apart.

Not sure why but I could not find this tool or any comparable tool at any local auto parts stores in my area. I wanted to change my timing belt and needed to remove the crank pulley on my Integra. The best price I found for this tool was at Amazon's web site. The tool worked great for my repair project. I definitely recommend this tool for removing the crank pulley on Honda and Acura cars with the 50mm hex opening on the pulley.

If you've made it here, you're in the right place, but probably frustrated and maybe bleeding. Relax, put on a band-aid, and put it back together for another couple days while you wait for the tool to arrive.



I recently changed the timing belt in my wife's 1998 Acura Integra 1.8 GS, and I have a couple observations that might be helpful, and save you the couple weeks I lost.



1. I didn't have to disconnect the steering pump, just unbolted it and held it out of the way with a dowel against the fender which was protected by a towel. The cruise control too.



2. Lining up the timing marks was pretty tricky, but by setting it at TDC before taking off the belt and pulley, then putting drill bits in the holes at the tops of the cams to hold them at TDC helped a lot. Once I had lined up the crank timing mark (crank sprocket to oil pump housing) and threaded the timing belt in the proper order, I rocked the cam sprockets back and forth slightly with a 12 mm wrench to get the belt to slide on them.



3. It's just not worth it to try to get the crank pulley off with anything but the tool ($23 from Amazon) or a ridiculously powerful impact gun. I popped the chrome off a 1/2" extension by torqueing it. Wear safety glasses. It's not necessary to put a breaker bar on the tool too, there's a reinforced place at the edge of the fender that will catch it if you put a regular 1/2" drive ratchet on it.



4. Replacing the tensioner and the spring seems pretty important, as well as making sure that it is loose enough to adjust properly. Rotating the cam sprockets 3 teeth forward (CCW) allows the tensioner to take up the slack in the belt.

Unless you own a 3/4" or larger impact tool, the only way to remove the bolt on the crankshaft pulley is this tool. A 6' tube over a breaker bar will do the rest while this toll holds the pulley in place. Could not have finished the job without it.

This tool worked great. You will need a 1/2" drive breaker bar (at least 20" long) to hold this tool. When using the breaker bar on the bolt make sure you support the extension with a jack or some sort otherwise you could bend both the extension bar and the bolt. Also you will probably want a 20" extension bar for the bolt instead of 2 10" extension bars, and a really big pipe (5-10 feet long) for extra torque, as these bolts are on at least 250 ft/lbs (spec) and commonly much more.
